By now you’ve probably deduced that Hunan is most famous for it’s Chinese cuisine. For over 30 years visitors and guests have enjoyed the casual and comfortable but stylish ambiance of this small diner that was created from an old railroad car and added on to over the years.
Hunan Diner is located on the corner of Colonial and Washington Avenues in the heart of downtown Colonial Beach. Owner Alan To is more than a business owner, he’s a friend to many locals and visitors. It is one of the longest running successful restaurants in Colonial Beach.
The restaurant has a very elegant banquet room that seats up to 50 guests, great for board meetings, reunions or small wedding parties.
Hunan Diner has a variety of main dishes, soups and appetizers. Main meats include Shrimp, Scallops, Chicken, Pork and Beef.

From a party of two to a party of 50, Hunan has accommodations for any get together.
Hunan Diner’s unique schedule allows for a late lunch opening with a break in between lunch and dinner. The full bar remains open serving appetizers during this break but other food orders are restricted to the lunch and dinner hours.
