This year Colonial Beach will celebrate Independence Day with Fireworks on the 3rd of July from 8 to 9 P.M.
Come early to stake out a spot on the main beach. Fireworks are shot off the municipal pier and can be seen best from the shoreline starting at Colonial Ave and going South to about halfway down Irving Avenue on the point.
Don’t ask me why the town has elected to celebrate this year’s independence day on Hump Day but it just shows their determination to be independent!

Come enjoy a day at the beach, enjoy the attractions, walk the boardwalk, watch the sun set over Monroe Bay and the Fireworks over the Potomac River.
